MLS Philadelphia 2010 Groundbreaking Announced

Dear Massimo,

After months of anticipation, the moment you have been waiting for is finally here! MLS Philadelphia 2010 is proud to announce the groundbreaking of the stadium on the Chester waterfront. 

The groundbreaking ceremony will take place on Monday, December 1, 2008 at 2:30pm. Come join MLS Philadelphia ownership, staff and supporters for this exciting and monumental event in your team’s history.  Details for the event are as follows:

What:   Major League Soccer Commissioner Don Garber will join team, local and state officials to formally break ground on the 16th MLS team’s new stadium in the historic City of Chester. Team supporters and Chester residents are encouraged to attend. Bleacher seating is limited and will be available on a first come-first served basis.  

The Sons of Ben supporters club is asking event attendees to bring canned food for its second annual “Help Kick Hunger” canned food drive benefitting Chester’s Bernardine Center. MLS Philadelphia will make a matching donation up to $500.

TEAM U.K. ELITE 2009 offer individual players the experience and excitement of international travel whilst competing as part of our U.K. Elite Team.

In 2006 we formed our first ever touring teams to play in Europe and took 3 teams to play in Italy in The Valtellina Cup. The trip was a huge success and we have continued the program since, taking 3 teams to England in 2007 to participate in The Umbro International Festival and 3 teams to Spain in 2008 to play in The Donosti Cup. Based on the feedback we have received from over 300 players, parents and family members that have travelled with us, we believe these trips represent a truly unique and unforgettable experience.

For 2009 we will be taking teams to Italy (Adriatic Coast Area) to compete in The San Marino Cup As well as playing in the tournament you will also get the chance to sightsee some of the most beautiful parts of Italy, including Montecatini, Florence, Pisa and Rome!

We will be making presentations in NJ, PA and MD in October to go through the itinerary, logistics and general goals of the tour.
